AMC MCQ Overview
The AMC MCQ Examination (also known as the AMC CAT MCQ) is a computer-administered, multiple-choice examination delivered as a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) by the Australian Medical Council. It is the first part of the AMC certification examination pathway, required for international medical graduates seeking general registration to practise medicine in Australia.
The exam covers seven discipline areas: Internal Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine / Critical Care, and Population Health, Ethics & Professional Practice.
